PCC celebrates Year of the Dragon at Legin

Portland Community College’s Southeast Center is celebrating the Year of the Dragon in style.

This year is the 10th Annual Asian New Year Celebration, which features music, entertainment, food, vendors and door prizes, is set for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20 at Legin Restaurant Banquet Hall (8001 S.E. Division St.). The event is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Parking and food are free.

The celebration will mark the Year of the Dragon with a lion dance, dances from a variety of Asian cultures, music, face painting and other activities. Following the celebration will be a Southeast Center Expansion Visioning Workshop at 1:30 p.m. to gain community input on PCC’s bond program work that will expand the center’s footprint and academic services.
