Portland Community College will hold its 10th annual Asian New Year celebration from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in the Legin Restaurant banquet hall, 8001 S.E. Division St. The event marks the Year of the Dragon and will include music, food, vendors, door prizes, face-painting, a lion dance and other entertainment. The cost is $2 for adults. Children 12 and younger are free, as are the food and the parking.

After the celebration, at 1:30 p.m., PCC will host a workshop to gather community input on the expansion of the Southeast campus.The expansion will be financed with money from the $374 million PCC bond measure that voters passed in 2008.

In 2010, the college bought the restaurant, plus the nearby Kaiser Permanente clinic and the German American Society of Portland buildings.
