Out with the pole and in with new LED fixture

And let there be more energy efficient light!

At the Sylvania Campus, the light poles in lots 9 through 14, and G Street from Lesser Road to K Street, are being replaced with new energy efficient LED light poles. The work has caused the old light poles to be dumped in a pile like a metallic light pole lumber yard. This work is part of the Bond Program work that is happening this summer at the campus and throughout the college’s district. The pole replacement work is scheduled to be completed by the start of fall term.

Beware that Parking Lot 14 will be closed for the summer, and lots 9 through 13 will close on a rotating basis during the construction. There will be some temporary lighting along G Street for the summer. But for campus commuters, parking in lots 1 through 8 is advised.
