Banish bad days with good food: PCC class shows how

PORTLAND, Ore. – You are what you eat – literally. Now you can discover how food contributes not just to our physical makeup, but to our mental sharpness, energy level, and even our moods with a new non-credit class offered by Portland Community College. Analyze the Foods You Eat is designed to offer a scientific approach to balancing energy and emotion. Instructor Robert Finkleman will share an easy-to-learn three-tiered charting system of your diet. You will emerge knowing how to easily determine biochemical values of every kind of food, and how to gain more energy with every meal. "Most people don’t know just how much food plays into whether they have a good day or a bad day," said Finkleman. "This class will show you how, with just a few simple dietary choices, you can be your ‘best you’ and accomplish more of your goals." The four-session class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 28 through Oct. 19, at PCC’s Southeast Center, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave. Cost is $39.
