Photos and Story by James Hill
James Straight, a longtime retired computer information systems instructor at the Sylvania Campus, died July 26 of prostate cancer at age 71. Remembrances can be made to the PCC Foundation for CIS scholarships. Straight was born in 1936 in Idaho, but grew up in California. He served in the Navy and graduated from UCLA, where he also earned a master’s degree. He moved to Portland in 1977 to work at PCC. James will be sorely missed.
