Sylvania printmaker participates in Art in the Pearl

Gene Flores, art department chairman at Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus, will take part in the annual Art in the Pearl exhibition.

Flores, who lives in La Center, Wash., has participated in Art in the Pearl for an estimated four years, according to an article in The Vancouver Columbia.

The 15th-annual Art in the Pearl exhibition is set for this weekend, Sept. 3 through 5, in Northwest Portland.

Flores is a printmaker whose works feature surreal subjects that combine human and animal features.
